EVGA has rolled out its latest addition to the LGA1366, X58 based lineup, the X58 Classified3 motherboard. The number 3 in the name stands for USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gbps support, while other specs are pretty much on par with the rest of the Classified line.
The new EVGA X58 Classified3 features 10-phase digital VRM for the CPU, four PCI-Express 2.0 x16 ports connected directly to the northbridge so there are no additional nForce 200 bridge chips. These PCI-Express slots are configured to work in dual x16, single x16 and dual x8, as well as quad x8 configurations, depending on the usage. The rest of the features include two SATA 6Gbps ports (the red ones) and six SATA 3Gbps ports, two USB 3.0 ports and bunch of regular USB 2.0 ports, integrated 8-channel HD audio, dual Gigabit Ethernet and Firewire ports.
The cooling system used on this one is quite impressive as the VRM has its own heatsink while the X58 chipset has the largest heatsink/fan that we've seen recently. The ICH10R soutbridge has its own low-profile heatsink. Other features include EVGA's vDroop control, voltage measure points, support for EVGA's EVBot, Dummy OC feature and diagnostic LED display.
The motherboard should already be available with a price tag set at US $369.99.
